What is the best diet to lose weight successfully and in the long term? The answer has a meta-analysis that evaluates the results of five Harvard studies.
Most diets cause a bad mood, make blemished skin, and are ultimately not crowned with success. But what is the world's best diet for losing weight, if you go by sound scientific figures?
Weight loss principle: whole grains, fish, or rather vegetables?
Of course, not everyone's body reacts the same way to a particular diet - for some it helps, for others, it doesn't, and still, others do best with simply counting calories. But as a meta-study of five different Harvard University studies has found, one particular diet offers the highest probability of losing weight. Data from 998 overweight participants were analyzed as part of the study, specifically their response to the question of which diet gave them the best chance of losing weight.
The best diet: no one has to count calories to get slim
Compared to the low-fat diet and low-carb diet, the Mediterranean diet performed best for the weight loss effect. This diet also enabled participants to lose an average of around four to ten kilograms. In puncto health, the mediterrane variant cut off however by far better.
